Ligue 1 sensation on Liverpool’s radar decides future move ahead of key summer

Kylian Mbappe has already decided his future move amid Liverpool interest

According to Spanish outlet AS (h/t Liverpool Echo

), Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe already has a ‘clear’ image of where he wants to play next season, but he will wait for the first few months of 2022 to make the decision.

The Frenchman has been one of the best footballers from across Europe this season. The former Monaco man has been impressive for Paris Saint-German and has bagged 15 goals and 15 assists in 24 appearances.

Mbappe is about to enter the final six months of his contract term with PSG, and there has been a lot of speculations over his future. Liverpool have been after the World Cup winner for quite some time now. However, the Spanish giants Real Madrid have the edge over the Reds.

It is believed that they were close in securing the deal in the summer, but PSG remained firm in their intentions to keep hold of their star forward. Florentino Pérez’s side have since kept tabs on the 23-year-old in an attempt to lure him in the summer of 2022.

It seems Mbappe currently has several options in front of him. But, it is believed that the French star has already made his decision

over his next home. However, he didn’t reveal his preferences before the Champions League round of 16 fixtures of PSG against Real Madrid in February and March in order to avoid ‘divided loyalties’.

The Liverpool forwards aren’t getting any younger, and with advanced age comes the uncertainty of sustainable performances. The Reds require fresh legs to continue their dominance in the years to come.

Mbappe no doubt has the potential to become a future great of the game. Thus, Kopites won’t have any complaints if the Reds board successfully signs the prodigy. However, Pérez’s board will have all the cards going into the negotiation phase, and therefore any move to Anfield seems improbable.
