According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Liverpool target Arnaut Danjuma is highly unlikely to leave Villarreal in the January transfer window and no talks have taken place regarding securing his services.
The Dutchman has been consistently putting in a series of impressive performances this season. The Yellow Submarines’ forward has bagged nine goals and three assists in 18 appearances across all competitions. The 24-year-old has become a key performer for Unai Emery’s side and is showing no sign of slowing down.
Liverpool have been linked with the Dutch forward in recent times. But it is believed that the Reds board haven’t initiated any talks to sign Danjuma. It seems the Villarreal forward won’t be moving away
from Estadio de la Cerámica in the winter transfer window.Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah-Sadio Mane duo have worked wonders in recent seasons. Both players are in good nick this season and also have Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota alongside them.
Therefore, a January move for Danjuma will become a luxury for Liverpool. The depth in the squad suggests that the Dutch forward wouldn’t get many chances in the current campaign.
However, Danjuma could become a long term solution for Jurgen Klopp. The Left winger is currently 24-years of age and entering the peak years of his career. A summer move seems a good option for the Reds board in such a case. Jurgen Klopp’s team would be able to avoid the skyrocketing prices of Danjuma in the future.
Liverpool have to start finding replacements for their ageing superstars. Danjuma’s skills and rapid growth suggests he could successfully fill that void that will inevitably need to be filled in the future.
