“The best way”‘ – Luis Diaz opens up on his impressive start at Liverpool

Luis Diaz reveals his thoughts regarding his beginning to life at Liverpool

In conversation with Liverpoolfc.com, Luis Diaz expressed his delight at his amazing start to life at Liverpool since moving to the club last January.

The Columbian professional footballer has been a livewire ever since joining the Reds from Porto in January. Diaz has played nine matches across all competitions and has bagged one goal for the Merseysiders so far. The 25-year-old is more than just the summation of these stats and his ability to cut across the lines and carry the ball forward has been a pivotal factor.

Luis Diaz made his name with the Portuguese club and has adapted really well to the conditions in England. This is an incredibly impressive feat considering that the Columbian never stepped foot in the Premier League prior to the Liverpool deal.

Luis Diaz shed light on his early days at Liverpool

He has gone starting into the system and it seems like he has been playing the same way for a long time now. This is an incredible task if you see the kind of intense, attacking style of football that Jurgen Klopp demands.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Diaz gave us an insight into the nascent stage of his footballing days with Liverpool. He seemed to be delighted and expressed his happiness for the favourable circumstances.

“Absolutely! It’s going the best way possible and it’s kind of the way that we all wanted. Certainly from a personal point of view, it’s just how I wanted to try to start and what I’ve dreamed of, and how I dreamed of starting. I knew that I’d come to a very competitive club involved in everything. So, I’m really, really happy how it’s started and long may it continue.”

Is this a new era of attackers for Liverpool

The club has enjoyed a lot of success in Europe as well as England in the last few years. The German manager has managed to pivot the club in a positive direction ever since taking charge. The likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino have been the face of the attacking department for some time now conjuring up a ruthless partnership amongst themselves.

That being said, the club have always kept one eye on the future and made suitable transfers accordingly to help bolster their squad. Diogo Jota was an impressive purchase who has not only proven to be a great replacement but is also making a strong claim for a starting position within the first-team setup.

Diaz has been a dynamic presence ever since joining the club from Porto

Diaz is another player who would have been brought in with an aim to future-proof the attack whilst simultaneously adding more depth to the squad at Anfield. His work rate and determination have been top-notch in his early days at the club.

The Columbian international has labelled his early days as something that he’s dreamed of and many in our fanbase would echo the same sentiments. At the same time, they would be hoping that the 25-year-old can continue on the trajectory for the foreseeable future.

As we head into the business end of the season, the club will be hungry to get their hands on more silverware after picking up the EFL trophy last month. Whilst the quadruple is still a very real possibility, every player will have to step up to the plate if such an enormous task should even be considered possible.
