Jurgen Klopp wants his players to be at their best to take on Manchester United

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Manchester United, as quoted by the Express, Jurgen Klopp has asked his players to be at their best and take on Ralf Rangnick’s team in today’s Premier League clash.

Klopp’s men take on Manchester United in the Premier League tonight as they look to keep the pressure on Manchester City in the Premier League title race. Every game is crucial for the Reds as they hope to see the Cityzens slip up.

The Reds are coming off the back of a resounding 3-2 win against Manchester City in the semi-final of the FA Cup and will be hoping to continue the good form in tonight’s clash against a team they dispatched 5-0 at Old Trafford earlier this season.

Speaking about the match against Manchester United, Klopp was adamant that his team had to be at their best to take on a much improved Manchester United even though they may be favourites going into the game.

“We have to be in the right mood, the people [fans] have to be in right mood to really be ready to fight for the three points. Here are times when you have better moments than other teams.

“We have to be angry in a good way, greedy all these kind of things, like you are if you have won nothing and would be with nil points and it’s the most important three points in your life.”

Keep the pressure on?

Both Liverpool and Manchester City are separated just by one point with Klopp’s men understanding the magnitude of the task at hand. Whilst it is not difficult to catch up, the title is out of Liverpool’s hands at the moment and we are well aware of just how well City tend to play in the last few weeks of the season when the league is up for grabs.

Liverpool find themselves in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple. They have already secured the Carabao Cup and find themselves in yet another final in the FA Cup. They are in a race for the Premier League title and have Villarreal to face in the Champions League semi-final.

Jurgen Klopp will know that his team will have to be on top of their game. They cannot afford slip-ups of any kind. It is probably the most crucial part of their season and they have to be at their absolute best.

Getting past Manchester United will be the first job on the cards for Klopp. If they manage to successfully get past Ralf Rangnick’s team, the pressure will be on Manchester City to keep delivering- even though they arguably have a more favourable run of games as compared to us.

Liverpool have to continue being at their best if they wish to win the quadruple. It remains to be seen what happens today and during the rest of the season. With teams such as Everton and Tottenham Hotspur still left to play, a win today is necessary to make sure we are best placed for mounting one last blitz for the PL crown.
