Transfer News: AC Milan launch bid for Liverpool target Renato Sanches
AC Milan have launched a bid for Renato Sanches who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The Italian side has made Lille an offer for the Portuguese midfielder and is confident of completing a move by early next week.
Sanches joined the Ligue 1 club back in 2019 after a disappointing spell with Bayern Munich. The midfielder has shined in France and been successful with Les Dogues.
Even though injuries have hampered his time with Lille, the 24-year-old has managed to fight through them every single time. With one year left on his contract, the midfielder looks set to move away for a new challenge.
Sanches a quality player
The midfield workhorse would seem like a perfect fit on paper for Liverpool fans. The box-to-box, dynamic midfielder has all the necessary qualities required to contribute in every part of the field.
Managing to keep a hold of the ball is one of his best qualities and Sanches remains calm under pressure. The Portuguese also has the legs to run after the ball when needed.
The Reds boast an already impressive midfield, with Thiago Alcantara the one looking to pick out passes. The Spaniard’s ability on the ball is mesmerising. Having someone like Sanches alongside him would be a dream for fans.
Fabinho is the one who acts as the enforcer in the middle of the park, cutting out threats in front of the backline. Jordan Henderson is the leader in the middle, helping out on both ends of the pitch.
