Juventus ‘considering’ another proposal for Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino
Juventus are ‘considering’ making another proposal for Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino in the coming days, according to TuttoJuve (h/t Liverpool Echo). The Brazilian’s current contract expires next summer.
The Serie A giants have been interested in the 30-year-old for some time now. The Bianconeri are looking to ‘raise’ their offer for Firmino to entice the Reds to part ways with their Brazilian stalwart.
Firmino has been a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s side since the German’s arrival on Merseyside. The Brazilian created a brilliant trio alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane during Liverpool’s initial success under Klopp.
The 30-year-old’s influence in the side has grown since his arrival in 2015 from TSG Hoffenheim. But the addition of Salah to the team in 2017 unlocked the Brazilian’s potential.
Firmino is a top player
Playing as a false nine, Firmino has enjoyed some of the best years of his career with the Reds. With the other two forwards bombing down the wings and coming inside, the 20-year-old is the one that deops deep, creating chances and providing support to the midfield.
Rival fans often underestimate Frimino’s importance to the side. But Liverpool fans who’ve seen him play regularly admire his ability and flair. The Brazilian brings other forwards into the game using his vision and innovation.
With the arrival of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz over the years though, Firmino’s game time has slightly dipped, with the gaffer preferring other options. Injuries have hampered the Brazilian’s opportunities in the XI as well.
Currently, the Merseysiders are well stacked in all areas of the pitch, with Frimino being a key member. The Reds look ready to challenge for another quadruple next season.
