Jurgen Klopp gives his opinion on the PL top four race

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp his Premier League top four predictions

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given his own Premier League top four predictions as the new campaign approaches. The German manager believes that league rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea, may both be involved in the Premier League title chase in the coming season.

The teams are presently playing their final preseason games before the start of the new season, which is just a few weeks away. In preparation for his seventh full season in the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp would be aware of the fact that his Liverpool team would face huge competition as the other teams have strengthened their spine.

Under the former Borussia Dortmund manager, the Reds have secured Champions League qualification for the sixth time which is itself a remarkable achievement. However, despite having two trophies

, and two runners-up medals last season, the Anfield side would be on their toes as their foes would be hungry to secure titles of their own.

Klopp would be aware that nothing is guaranteed for the upcoming campaign and it would take a lot of effort to secure a top-four finish in the highly competitive Premier League.

However, the German manager believes that the Gunners and the Blues would be competing with them for the top four spots. Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Jurgen Klopp revealed the names of the top four contenders.

“It was always clear that these kinds of things will happen [teams closing the gap]. Arsenal did, obviously, exceptionally well. Did I mention Chelsea? Probably not.”

Klopp did highlight the point, that he believes that the Citizens would pip them again in the race to win the prestigious Premier League title. Obviously, this would be very early days for making any predictions, but we believe that the German is playing smart with his words.

Both the north London clubs lagged when compared to Liverpool and Manchester City in the league last year. The Blues did grab the third spot, but they were behind Jurgen Klopp’s second-place team by 18 points.

Arsenal, on the other hand, finished sixth last year and almost missed qualifying for the Champions League. Hence, Mikel Arteta’s side has now brought in fresh new additions in a bid to help them perform better.

The Arsenal board have already spent more than £100m by signing five players. Meanwhile, the Blues have not yet completed their deals as they would be aiming to add more top-quality players. Due to their performances both on and off the field, the Gunners have drawn attention throughout the preseason.

The Gunners didn’t take the friendly against Chelsea as any other common game as they defeated Thomas Tuchel’s men by a 4-0 scoreline. They had previously defeated Everton 2-0 and then Orlando City 3-1, all in the United States.

Although these would be just friendly games, both the teams would be aware of the fact that they need to be a step ahead in a league where fixtures are tightly scheduled.

Meanwhile, the fans would expect Liverpool to win the league this time after missing out to Manchester City by just two points in the last season.
