Villarreal waiting for incoming bids for 19-year-old Liverpool target

Transfer News: Villarreal waiting for clubs to bid for Liverpool target Yeremy Pino

The Spanish side are reportedly waiting for a bid from either Liverpool or Arsenal for their young forward, Yeremy Pino.

Reported from AS (h/t Liverpool Echo), The Yellow Submarine are expecting a bid of around €40-50m for the 19 year old winger. Their current valuation of the player is considerably less than his release clause of €70m.

Pino has scored 14 goals and made five assists in 77 appearances across all competitions for Villarreal so far. He had a breakthrough season with Villarreal in 2020-21, seeing them through to win the UEFA Europa League.

Liverpool thought to have ‘made contact’ with Villarreal for Yeremy Pino.

He also has a goal and one assist in four appearances for Spain. Villarreal manager Unai Emery is looking to rebuild his squad and invest some money, which is why they might be looking to go ahead with the sale of one of their brightest talents.

His newly renewed contract makes Villarreal dictate any terms in terms of negotiations. Pino’s versatility to play any of the front three roles makes him a very “stand-out” player. The expected amount of €40-50m for the youngster will make him the highest departure in the history of the club.

Amounts of that sort are more than sufficient to stall any financial problems the club might be going through, given the fact that the entire La Liga has been going through times from a financial perspective.

Chelsea and Arsenal enter the race for Liverpool target Yeremy Pino.

Recent reports also were suggestive of the fact that Pino’s camp best believed that Villarreal is the perfect club for his development as he was assured game-time at the Estadio de la Ceramica. But with changing times, situations change too and the Spanish outfit might be looking at the bigger picture.

More Liverpool News:

Given the current situation at Liverpool, with the midfield injury crisis, a move for Pino would seem rather abrupt as the club is already loaded with forwards. A signing, if any, should be that of a midfielder.
