Liverpool’s only senior options in midfield currently are Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliot. The latter also is a chiefly right-winger who can put in more than just a shift in the role he’s playing currently.

Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and now very recently, Naby Keita are all sidelined owing to different injury issues. The supporters’ want for a new midfielder is justified and Jurgen Klopp also very recently expressed his desire to get onboard a new player in the middle of the park.
