Liverpool set to overtake Manchester United as England’s richest club

‘The Financial Forecast 2022’ foresees Liverpool to post revenues of £602m

, overtaking Manchester United. A pre-tax profit of £76m has been predicted for the Merseyside giants as well. Revenues were obviously set to rise after this season generated ticket sales, unlike last year wherein most fixtures were played behind closed doors.

Liverpool’s domestic success last season is a major contribution to the boost in revenue. Additionally, Liverpool’s new commercial deals have added to the figures as well.

This season though, the wage bills will increase with new deals for multiple players including the likes of Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Joe Gomez and Harvey Elliott.

It was claimed that Off The Pitch’s 2019 report, the last one produced before COVID-19 was “99.9% accurate.”
