“Sort the situation”- Liverpool boss provides clarity on his future following Napoli loss

Jurgen Klopp clarifies talks of Liverpool sacking following Napoli loss

Speaking after the embarrassing loss to Napoli in the UEFA Champions League (h/t Mirror), Jurgen Klopp did not seem worried about his future as Liverpool gaffer after a rough spell of form for the team which has seen them gather just nine points from the first six games.

With Thomas Tuchel facing the sack as Chelsea boss after the team’s loss to Dinamo Zagreb, Klopp was asked whether he has worries about facing the sack, to which he said:

“Our owners are rather calm and expect me to sort the situation and not think someone else will.”

It is a pretty straightforward answer to any doubt circulating regarding Klopp’s future at the club. He is here to stay and get us out of the little mess that has been created.

Jurgen Klopp gives clarity on his future

Since his appointment as manager of Liverpool, Klopp has taken the club to new strengths creating one of the most dominating teams in Europe and winning a UEFA Champions League trophy and a Premier League title in the process.

He was rewarded with a contract extension by the club to recognise his contributions and the recent loss of form in no way changes the club’s stance. To even think so would be reactionary.

Klopp is the right man to lead us forward, having built the foundation of long-term successes since the start of his tenure here.

However, it is important to mention that Klopp has to figure out ways to rectify the slump and the manager more than anyone understands the importance of it.

Speaking ahead of the Premier League fixture against Wolves, Jurgen Klopp is wary of his team’s form and how they need to reinvent themselves again.

More Liverpool News:

Hopefully, the players found a reality check of their recent performances and should be looking to add some grit, tenacity and determination to aim for a positive result on the weekend.

To even consider firing Klopp is missing the point. There is no one better than the German to get us out of this mess and we rather the club sack the underperforming player than even think about parting ways with Klopp.
