Report: Who will take charge of Southampton when they face Liverpool after Ralph Hasenhuttl sack

Southampton have sacked manager Ralph Hasenhuttl ahead of the team’s clash against Liverpool

Liverpool ended the week on a high with two convincing victories over SSC Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur with the team now sitting eighth in the league.

Due to the FIFA World Cup break about to be initiated, all teams in the league have one last Premier League game to play before the tournament commences.

Our next opponents in the league are Southampton and according to Sky Sports, the Saints have sacked their manager Ralph Hasenhuttl today having seen one win out of their last nine games, which sees the club sitting in the bottom three in the league.

It would provide an added boost to Liverpool, who have the perfect opportunity to capitalise on the messy situation at Southampton presently, who would be travelling to Anfield on Saturday.

In the absence of Hasenhuttl, first-team coach Ruben Selles will take charge of the opposition’s dugout until the club find a replacement. The game will be held on Saturday (12 November), three days after our EFL Cup tie against Derby County.

With losses sustained against minnows Nottingham Forest and Leeds United, we cannot afford to take the game lightly in any manner and should strive to end the first half of the season on a good note.

Klopp has had a good record against the Saints and has won nine out of the last ten games when Liverpool have faced Southampton and the German would definitely be looking to add more wins to the impressive stat.

With two victories against good sides on the trot, the squad would be brimming with confidence after a tough start to the season and a win on the weekend could potentially see us close the gap on the top four rivals.

Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah is back to his best and would look to add more to his tally before there is an unintended break for the player, which could give him the perfect opportunity to revitalise and come back stronger in the second half of the season.
