Bayern winger Sadio Mane misses Liverpool and the Premier League

According to Football Insider (h/t Liverpool Echo), Bayern Munich superstar Sadio Mane has revealed to his close friends that he is missing his former club Liverpool and the Premier League after a tough start to life in Germany.

Mane who is a Liverpool legend in his own right left the club this summer to join German giants Bayern Munich. The Senegalese international has not had the best of times at Munich but he is showing signs of improvement.

A key cog of the winning machine that Jurgen Klopp built at Liverpool, Mane has been a part of a lot of success that the Reds have had in recent years. However, he made the decision to leave in search of a new challenge.

Mane joined Liverpool in 2016 and left the club in 2022. During this time, he became a fan favourite of the Reds and the Anfield crowd adored him. The 31-year-old took a huge gamble by moving clubs at this stage of his career.

Mane found himself at Bayern Munich in a weird situation. Club legend Robert Lewandowski left for Barcelona and the Senegalese found himself tasked with spearheading the Bavarian giants’ attack.

In 22 games for the German giants across all competitions, Mane has scored 11 times and provided four assists. Whilst these numbers are rather decent on paper, we know that the 31-year-old can be better.

The player himself feels this apparently with Mane said to miss Liverpool and Premier League a lot. The Senegalese will have to be patient though as he learns to adapt to life in Munich and feels comfortable there.

No one can take Liverpool away from Mane. It was a nice story as long as it lasted but we have moved on, and it’s best that Senegalese does too.
