Two Liverpool fixtures including crunch-clash rescheduled for TV coverage

Two Liverpool fixtures including Manchester United clash rescheduled for TV coverage

In a recent development, the FA announce two of Liverpool Football Club’s upcoming Premier League matches including the one against Manchester United stand rescheduled due to television coverage. The rescheduling of these matches will have a significant impact on the race for the Premier League title, as every point counts in such a competitive league. [h/t Liverpool Echo]

Liverpool’s home game against arch-rivals Manchester United will now kick-off at 16:30 GMT on Sunday, March 5 2023 and by that time, hopefully, the Reds see themselves in a better position than they are in now and pose a threat to United’s chances of a top-four finish.

The other game is the trip away to the Cherries which will now kick off at 12:30 GMT on March 11 2023 and Liverpool would hope for a similar result when Bournemouth played at Anfield with us winning the game 9-0.

Liverpool’s change in fixtures

In addition to the three league fixtures in March, the Reds will also face the mighty Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. Hopefully, we get our revenge against Los Blancos. The Spanish giants are the Reds’ nemesis in the UCL as either they or their local rivals Atletico have knocked us out of the UCL ever since 2018.

These changes will affect the competition for the Premier League title, as every game is important. Liverpool and Manchester United will try to win their match, and Bournemouth would obviously be eager to cause an upset.

Obviously, in the present situation, the Reds see themselves far away from a top-four spot. However, it will be interesting to see how these changes affect the outcome of the matches and the overall race for a Champions League spot.

More Liverpool News:

TV coverage and Broadcast rights have been a huge pocket filler for the FA and it would be wise to do the best in their interests when it comes to dealing with money as these new kick-off times would see more fans tune in and in turn, more revenue generation.
