Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gave the team two days off after Wolves thrashing

In a recent presser coming in via Daily Mail, Liverpool gaffer Jurgen Klopp revealed that he gave the players a two-day break after their shock 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the league.

The decision to give the team a break comes as a surprise to the author for one, especially considering the fact that Liverpool is currently in the worst form they have been in for years. The Reds have been struggling this season, and the loss to Wolves was just another example of the team’s poor form.

The defeat was a harsh reminder of how far they have fallen from the team that dominated the league just a few seasons ago.

The team’s poor performance has certainly been a cause for concern among fans, who stand worried about the team’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League and winning any silverware this season.

Here is what he told reports on the same:

“We analysed, we spoke to each other and then we gave them two days off as it was a very long time between last Saturday and this Monday.”

“This week they all look incredibly fresh.”

“That’s the truth. The training sessions looked very good, super intense.”

Break for the Reds

Despite the team’s poor form, Klopp’s decision to give the team two days off was a wise one. Besides, the Premier League is one of the most physically demanding leagues in the world, and it is essential for players to have adequate time to rest and recover.

In one way, Klopp’s decision to give the team a break could also be a way for him to show his support for his players. He obviously recognizes the pressure that the team is under and understands the toll it can take on their mental and physical well-being.

The break would have certainly allowed the players to take their minds off the sport and spend time with their families, which can help them come back refreshed and ready to face the next challenge. Hopefully, the rest and recoveries make the Reds think about their situation and go all guns blazing starting against Everton this Monday.
