Football pundit backs Jurgen Klopp to make extreme Liverpool decision if poor form continues

Richard Keys slams Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and makes ‘quit’ prediction

Tough times at Liverpool Football Club have seen opinions come out of places of total unimportance. The Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp is no new figure to criticism. Former Sky Sports pundit Richard Keys says the gaffer will soon be on his way out of the club.

It is so tough to imagine anyone beyond Klopp at the helm at Liverpool after all the success he has had at the club. Winning every trophy the English top-tier has to offer, winning the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup, there is hardly anything Klopp has left to prove, and certainly not to someone named Keys.

However, this season has been a bit tough for the manager as the club doesn’t seem to get the basics right due to which we find ourselves in tenth place in the league standings at the moment. In any case, the author for one, cannot think beyond Klopp to manage the Reds out of this mess.

Here is what Keys said on the Klopp situation at Liverpool via The Mirror:

“There’s only one winner when a coach falls out with the press – and it’s not the coach.”

“My guess is Klopp will walk. Not now – but if they’re knocked out of the CL by Real Madrid I think he’ll be gone before the start of next season. Liverpool are way off. A shadow of what they once were – and it’s no good blaming FSG. The downfall is Klopp’s responsibility.”

Nobody better than Klopp to manage Liverpool

Referring to how the gaffer did not want to answer questions from one particular reporter, Keys noted that such a fallout usually results in the manager getting the axe. However, thank god that the presenter is not responsible for anything at Liverpool.

The only reason as per Klopp why he signed a contract extension before this season began was that he wanted to be in control of the ongoings at the club during the transitional period. That means the German would have certainly envisioned something for the club.

Hopefully, Klopp stands financially backed in the summer transfer window for the Reds to get their hands on their ideal transfer targets and stand firm at the pinnacle of the English game, where they rightfully belong.

The legendary manager has been a key figure in the club’s recent success and has the support of both the players and the fans. It would be unfortunate for such a talented and dedicated individual to leave the club under such circumstances.
