Agent issues response to claims linking 30-year-old superstar with Liverpool exit

Mohamed Salah’s agent has talked down any rumour of the player seeking to leave Liverpool

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa, via Twitter, has rubbished rumours of the player seeking to leave the club in the summer transfer window.

According to Footmercato, it was claimed that the Egyptian winger is looking to leave the club in the coming window and Spain could be the potential destination.

Salah has been the stalwart of the dominant Liverpool side under Jurgen Klopp and has been a big part of the success in recent years. So far, in 293 appearances made for the club, the forward has amassed 178 goals and 74 assists which are thoroughly impressive numbers for any player.

This season, we have seen Salah not being up to the high standards shown in the past and adding to the disappointment faced by the team, rumours of the player looking for pastures abroad have been seen floating around.

However, his agent has put salt on any such rumour and has clarified that the Egyptian is committed to the project at Liverpool, having penned new terms just last year on a deal which runs till 2025.

Liverpool have seen a drop in standards this term which was somewhat surprising considering the impressive run seen by the club last season.

There is a need for a rebuild for the team and there are certain players who would be let go in the summer, however, to suggest that Salah could be one of them would be wide off the mark.

He would be a key figure in the rebuild and be responsible for leading the line from the front as Klopp looks set to embark on a journey of another era of dominance.

Hence, it would be wise to not pay heed to any such rumour concerning the Egyptian and instead look forward to seeing good performances from the player in the remaining league games which hopefully give us a top-four finish.
