Former Liverpool star Jose Enrique does not want Adrien Rabiot at the club
Former Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique, who is often quite vocal about the club on social media, recently tweeted about the Reds’ interest in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and had his words on the same.
While there is no doubt over the fact that the Reds need a midfield overhaul at the club in the summer. Enrique thinks that Rabiot is not among the players the Reds should ideally target and believes that he is not a player for Liverpool to pursue.
The 27-year-old French central midfielder has nine goals and four assists from 33 appearances across all competitions this season, and his contract with The Old Lady expires later this year, in June (Transfermarkt).
Even though the player is a good talent and has all that there needs for him to be a good player, Rabiot is a controversial character due to his off-field antics, and more recently, even his mother made the news for the worst possible reasons talking about the clubs Rabiot has played for in a bad sense.
No Rabiot, No Party?
The Reds certainly do not need any kind of negativity around them, and it would be a wise call to take to step away from getting Rabiot on board at the Reds.
Rabiot has been involved in several disciplinary issues throughout his career, which have resulted in suspensions and fines. He even stood suspended by the French national team for refusing to be on the standby list for the World Cup in 2018. Such incidents not only affect the player’s reputation but also disrupt team harmony and morale.
Liverpool is a club that prides itself on its culture and values, which are based on teamwork, discipline, and professionalism. Signing a player who has a history of disciplinary problems could potentially disrupt the harmony of the team and go against the club’s values.
In conclusion, while Rabiot is undoubtedly a top-class talent, Liverpool should exercise caution before signing him. The club needs to consider the potential risks and the impact they could have on the team before making any decision.

Liverpool’s priority should be to maintain the team’s culture and values and sign players who fit in with the club’s ethos instead of bringing in players who bring in too much controversy for a club like ours, which prides itself on doing things the right way.
