Real Madrid ‘practically ruled out’ of Liverpool target Jude Bellingham race
Liverpool has received some promising news in their pursuit of Jude Bellingham as according to Fichajes via ECHO, Real Madrid stand “practically ruled out” of the race to recruit the highly sought-after midfielder.
For the Reds, this news could not have come at a better time. While their Champions League qualification hopes seem to be slipping away, the prospect of acquiring a player of Bellingham’s calibre is certainly exciting.
The latest update on the situation has indicated that Liverpool stand as the “great favourite” to secure a deal for Bellingham. This is due in no small part to the club’s willingness to pay a hefty sum for his services. According to reports, Liverpool are willing to fork out £131m to land the England international.
This figure is significantly higher than the price limit reportedly set by Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have “no intention” of approaching such numbers, with a maximum limit of €100 million (£87.7m) via the same reports.
Jude to Liverpool without UCL?
Liverpool’s willingness to pay a premium for Bellingham’s services is a testament to the player’s high status and demand. The midfielder is one of the most promising young talents in world football, and his arrival at Anfield would certainly add an extra dimension to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Of course, there are no guarantees when it comes to transfer negotiations. However, Liverpool will undoubtedly stand encouraged by the latest developments in their pursuit of Bellingham even though there is not much to cheer about in recent days for the club. However, one would wonder what if the Reds do not qualify for the UCL and what could then transpire in the Bellingham scenario.
With Real Madrid out of the picture, Liverpool can focus their attention solely on securing a deal for Bellingham. This could certainly give the club a significant advantage in the negotiations, as they will not have to compete with one of their biggest rivals for the midfielder’s signature.
As far as Bellingham is concerned, the player obviously has the ability to turn things around single-handedly for the Reds. Even at such a young age, he displays maturity beyond 19 and shows all the qualities of being a successful captain in the future as well.

While it is great that Bellingham is trying to divert his attention towards a move to Liverpool, the Reds need to ensure that they secure UCL qualification first. Most transfer targets, if not all, will want to play at Europe’s pinnacle and hence, that is most important.
