“Another top 6 club”- Gary Neville praises ‘sensational’ superstar who will leave Liverpool this summer

Gary Neville full of praise for Liverpool star Roberto Firmino

Liverpool fans at Anfield would’ve breathed a sigh of relief after Roberto Firmino headed past Aaron Ramsdale, the Reds’ second goal against Arsenal in the 2-2 draw.

Bobby met Trent’s cross into the box wonderfully to head home the Reds’ second goal of the night. Firmino showed his class against the Gunners. Coming off the bench in the second half, he scored the equaliser to make it 2-2 and salvage a point for the home side in what would otherwise have been a bad loss and make it tough for the Reds to finish in the top-four from that stage.

His performance didn’t go unnoticed, with former Manchester United player Gary Neville heaping praise on the Brazilian. Nev spoke about how the imminent departure of Firmino from Liverpool at the end of the current season is surely a huge benefit to another team.

Here is what Neville said via ECHO:

“Someone is getting a very, very good player. If he wanted to stay in this country, he’d be at another top 6 club. I think he’s an absolutely sensational player, Roberto Firmino.”

But the Reds will have to move on without him, and manager Jurgen Klopp will be looking for a replacement in the summer transfer window. It won’t be an easy task, however, as Firmino’s unique skill set will be difficult to replicate.

Reflecting on Firmino’s time at the club, it’s clear that he has been a vital part of Liverpool’s success. He has won numerous trophies during his time at Anfield, including the Premier League, Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup.

But his impact goes beyond just his on-field performances. Firmino has been a popular figure among the fans and his teammates, with his infectious personality and positive attitude making him a valuable member of the squad.

But for now, Liverpool fans can take comfort in the fact that Firmino will be giving his all for the club until the end of the season. His performance against Arsenal was certainly a reminder of his class and his importance to the team, and he will no doubt continue to make a valuable contribution in the coming weeks.

More Liverpool News:

Despite losing a player of Firmino’s calibre, Liverpool will approach the future with optimism, knowing that they have a team of players who are eager to step up and prove their worth and also build a strong squad for the future as well.
