Liverpool hold ‘positive discussions’ with Bayern star Ryan Gravenberch
Liverpool FC’s hopes of securing the services of 21-year-old Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch are currently dependent on a change in stance from Bayern Munich, as the Bundesliga champions have been resolute in their position that the young talent is not for sale.
The Reds held positive discussions with Gravenberch‘s camp, indicating Liverpool’s keen interest, but the outcome remains uncertain due to Bayern’s reluctance to part ways with the highly-rated youngster.
The Athletic‘s James Pearce talked about how Bayern remain reluctant to not let go of the player, but in football, the right bid could surely do the trick and Gravenberch join the Reds sooner than later.
With the departure of three midfielders over the summer, Liverpool’s need for reinforcements in the midfield is undeniable. Gravenberch, with his immense potential and impressive performances for Ajax before his struggle for minutes at Bavaria, would undoubtedly bolster Liverpool’s squad and provide a fresh injection of talent.
However, Bayern’s current refusal to entertain offers for the talented midfielder poses a significant obstacle to any potential deal.
While the pursuit of Gravenberch hangs in the balance, Liverpool has already begun the process of revamping their midfield. Last week, the club announced the signing of Alexis Mac Allister.
Despite this initial midfield signing, the departure of three midfielders necessitates further reinforcements. Gravenberch’s potential arrival would undoubtedly provide Liverpool with a highly talented and promising player, capable of making a significant impact on the team.
However, the onus lies on Bayern Munich to reconsider their stance and potentially open the door for negotiations.
