Another Egyptian could be on his way to Liverpool after Mohamed Salah reportedly asked the club to sign Egyptian wonderkid Ibrahim Adel.

However, other Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and Newcastle are also interested in the young winger. With both Chelsea and Newcastle interested in signing him, soccer fans have begun placing wagers on to determine which club will be able to get him.

Mohamed Salah, who is the captain of the Egyptian national team, has already firsthand seen the youngster in action. Clearly impressed by the 22 year old Ibrahim Adel’s talents, he has reportedly already asked the manager Jurgen Klopp to sign the future prospect.

Ibrahim Adel: Could Chelsea snatch him from Liverpool?

However, Chelsea are the team that could be the one to snatch the youngster up. The club has seen huge spending since the new American takeover. The club is also focusing on the future by bringing in young talents, and as such, Ibrahim Adel is also on their wishlist.

Journalist Graeme Bailey has previously said that the club wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer, but will immediately loan him away. Ligue 1 club Strasbourg is said to be where he will spend his first season if he comes to Chelsea.

On the Talking Transfers podcast, the aforementioned journalist said, “We’re told on this one that Chelsea’s interest is to send him to Strasbourg as well, Ibrahim Adel, he’s a player we have spoken about before, Mo Salah recommended him to Liverpool.”

He also pointed out Mo Salah’s interest in the youngster and how he is the best African youngster possibly.

“He is one of the best young players in African football. He has been for a little while, he plays for Pyramids in Egypt, Mo Salah does like him and he recommended him to Liverpool.”

Why is Ibrahim Adel in so much demand?

According to 90 min, Newcastle United are also heavily interested in the player. Brighton, Aston Villa, Burnley, Brentford, Southampton, and West Ham are also said to be interested but unlikely to buy the player, as the other three are bigger clubs.

Adel isn’t being scouted just because of Mo Salah’s high appreciation. He is currently one of the best talents in Africa and plays in the Egyptian Premier League for Pyramids FC.

He recently announced his name on the international stage at the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations. His impressive performances helped Egypt end up as runners up in the tournament, winning the Player of the Tournament award as well.

Ever since then, he has been called up to the national team, which is a great sign for a 22 year old.

It is expected a battle for his signature will take place, and whoever manages to secure him will get their hands on a talented player.
