Brentford want former Liverpool man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Former Liverpool man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain finds himself in the midst of a three-way battle for his signature following the expiration of his contract at Anfield earlier this year.

The 29-year-old attracts interest from the Saudi Pro League, Brentford, and Turkish club Besiktas as per The Mirror. Sticking to the Premier League, Thomas Frank’s Brentford show a significant amount of interest in the player.

The Bees are ready to offer Oxlade-Chamberlain a one-year deal, banking on their success story with Christian Eriksen, who rebuilt his career with them before moving to Manchester United.

Despite being a free agent, Oxlade-Chamberlain’s accomplishments at Liverpool make him a prized asset in the transfer market. He was an integral part of the squad during their successful campaigns, winning a Premier League title, League Cup, Champions League, and Club World Cup medals.

The midfielder is determined to play at the top level again and feels he has more to offer. The 29-year-old’s physical condition is good, which adds to his appeal as a potential signing for any club.

As the transfer saga unfolds, Liverpool fans will be anxious to see where Oxlade-Chamberlain decides to continue his career. It is a shame that injuries plagued his career at the Reds. However, sentimentality aside, Klopp and the Liverpool management will likely prioritize building a strong and injury-resistant midfield for the upcoming season. Oxlade-Chamberlain’s departure from the club was probably a necessary step to achieve that goal.
