Report: 29-year-old star’s £40m Liverpool exit inches close

Fabinho move inches closer as Liverpool star closes in on Al Ittihad transfer

In what seems to be the final stages of the transfer saga, Fabinho’s move to Al-Ittihad is supposedly back on track, with the Brazilian midfielder said to have undergone a medical and agreed to a three-year contract.

The Mail has provided this latest update, giving Liverpool fans clarity on the situation. Earlier in the week, talks between Liverpool and Al-Ittihad had hit a snag due to a paperwork issue. This unexpected hurdle had left fans uncertain about the deal’s progression. However, it appears that both clubs have now resolved the matter, and the transfer is firmly back in motion.

Fabinho (29), who has been an integral part of Liverpool’s midfield, will soon make his way to Saudi Arabia to finalize the move. The news of his departure is one with mixed emotions. While it marks the end of an era for Fabinho at Liverpool, it also opens the door for a new chapter in his footballing journey as he seemed to have lost his legs last season.

Liverpool will surely miss Fabinho’s presence in midfield.

The player was also not part of the pre-season camp in Germany and spent that time finalising his move to Saudi. During his time at Liverpool, Fabinho has proved his worth time and time again. His defensive prowess, ability to read the game, and exceptional passing range have made him a key player for the Reds. His contributions have been crucial in Liverpool’s recent successes.

Obrigado, Flaco!

While it is a significant loss for Liverpool to see Fab leave, his recent form meant that the Reds could do with a substantial transfer fee for the player while respecting his time at the club wherein he was essentially, the final piece to Jurgen Klopp’s jigsaw puzzle at the club which saw us conquer the world.

As Fabinho departs for Al-Ittihad, Liverpool’s midfield dynamics will undergo changes. The club’s management and coaching staff will undoubtedly have plans in place to reinforce the midfield and ensure a seamless transition in the squad.

Fabinho’s performance against Barcelona is arguably one of the best midfield performances we have seen under Jurgen Klopp.

While Fabinho’s move represents a challenge for Liverpool, it also creates opportunities for other players to step up. The midfield is a crucial area of the pitch, and Liverpool must surely get on reinforcements sooner than later.
