Tottenham Hotspur anticipate the fitness of James Maddison for the Liverpool game

Football.london reports that Tottenham Hotspur anticipates their star signing James Maddison’s fitness for the game against Liverpool on Saturday.

Spurs signed Maddison from Leicester City for £40m during the summer transfer window. The 26-year-old has been in sensational form for Ange Postecoglou’s side since the start of the season.

The England international has appeared in seven games for the London club and contributed with two goals and four assists.

Maddison’s tremendous form is not surprising as the Englishman was one of the best players for Leicester City. The 26-year-old won FA Cup and FA Community Shield during his time with the Foxes.

The Englishman possesses an incredible passing ability, characterized by the impeccable weight of his through balls. The attacking midfielder showcases exceptional technical skills, a deft first touch, and remarkable agility, enabling him to maintain possession even in tight spaces.

Jürgen Klopp’s side is in sensational form themselves as Liverpool are currently 2nd in the Premier League table. The Reds have shown vulnerability in their defense and they have conceded first in most of the games this season.

Liverpool’s defence need to be in their best shape to counter the Tottenham Hotspur’s attacking threat.

Klopp is facing a serious battle against Postecoglou’s side that has been nothing short of sensational when going forward. Spurs are currently lying in the fourth position in the Premier League, just two points behind Liverpool in second.

Both Liverpool and Spurs are currently unbeaten, but a draw seems highly unlikely on Saturday evening. Both clubs exhibit vulnerabilities in defense, yet they share a penchant for attacking to score goals.

Liverpool needs to keep a close eye on Maddison if he plays, alongside Spurs captain Son Heung-min. We believe that keeping a clean sheet in this away game would represent a massive accomplishment for the Reds.
