Liverpool set their sights on Atlanta United star Thiago Almada

The Reds are in the market for another midfielder and this time, Liverpool have targeted Argentine midfielder Thiago Almada, who plays for MLS side Atlanta United.

That is as per Fichajes via ECHO. The 22-year-old Argentine joined Atlanta in 2022, leaving his mark on American soccer ever since. Almada’s performances have been nothing short of sensational, making him a standout talent in MLS.

In the current season, Almada has been on fire, netting 11 goals and providing 14 assists in just 29

league appearances. Such impressive numbers have inevitably caught the attention of top clubs across Europe.

Manchester United, are also considering a bid for the talented midfielder according to the same publication. Almada’s contract with Atlanta United runs until 2025 (Transfermarkt), indicating that any potential transfer would not come cheap.

His value has undoubtedly skyrocketed, thanks to his exceptional performances both in the United States and as a part of Argentina’s World Cup-winning squad.

For Liverpool, the interest in Almada aligns with their strategy of scouting young, promising talents who can contribute to the squad’s growth and success in the long run.
