“He will do it once in his life”- Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch backs Germany international to win Ballon d’Or in future

Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch lauds Jamal Musiala for winning Ballon d’Or in future

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is confident former teammate Jamal Musiala has the ability to win the Ballon d’Or in the future after leaving Bayern Munich in the summer.

Gravenberch departed the German champions to join Liverpool, having struggled for regular game time in Bavaria. But the Dutchman was effusive in his praise for Musiala, who he believes can reach the pinnacle of world football.

In a Q&A session via Reddit(h/t sport

), Gravenberch labelled the 20-year-old as the most talented player he has ever seen.

“He will do it once in his life. He will continue to improve and has a good chance of doing so.”

The midfielder spent just one season playing alongside the German international at Bayern before his Anfield switch. But Musiala’s precocious ability convinced Ryan Gravenberch that he was destined for the top.

Gravenberch also revealed how Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp‘s personal touch was key in convincing him to leave Bayern.

Klopp outlined his plans for Gravenberch in detail, convincing the 21-year-old to head to Merseyside. The prospect of more regular minutes convinced Gravenberch, who has featured primarily in cup competitions so far.

While disappointed to no longer play with Musiala, he is relishing testing himself in the Premier League.

And Gravenberch clearly believes his former teenage teammate has the talent to dominate world football in the coming years.

Musiala has already established himself as a key player for Bayern and earned 23 caps for Germany.

If his development continues, few would bet against the skilful attacker fulfilling Gravenberch’s lofty Ballon d’Or prediction over the next decade.
