Dejan Kulusevski says Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is among top-five PL wingers of all time
In the vast tapestry of Premier League history, the discussion surrounding the greatest wingers of all time is both subjective and passionate. Everyone has their opinions, their preferences, and their biases, and Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski is no exception. He has Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah at #3 in his list.
Kulusevski’s top five comprises a star-studded lineup featuring Eden Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah, Willian, and Gareth Bale. Each player brings a unique flair to the game. But let’s be honest. No other player has lit the Premier League like Mo has, and the Egyptian is in some way, underrated compared to the rest of the greats who have graced the English top-tier.
Salah’s ability to find the back of the net with astonishing regularity and contribute significantly in terms of assists has not gone unnoticed. And dare it does. Mo has been absolutely second to nobody in the league when it comes to consistent goal contributions ever since he made the move to Merseyside in 2017.
Kulusevski spoke to TNT Sports via football.london and here is what he had to say:
“Unbelievable player, underrated and so good to watch him always. At number three I have to say Mohamed Salah.”
“Every season he [Salah] scores at least 20, 25, 30 goals and a lot of assists. Unbelievable player, year after year and you can see how hard he works, so he’s a great player and one of the best in Premier League history.”
The Tottenham winger doesn’t merely view Salah as a goal-scorer; he sees him as a multifaceted player who combines scoring prowess with playmaking abilities.
THE EGYPTIAN KING
The label of being underrated is often attributed to players who consistently deliver exceptional performances but don’t always receive the recognition they deserve. Despite being one of the Premier League’s top performers year after year, Salah’s contributions sometimes seem to fly under the radar in broader football conversations.
Kulusevski’s admiration for Salah extends beyond the statistics. He emphasises Salah’s work ethic, highlighting how hard the Egyptian works on and off the field.
Even this season as well, in 17 appearances across all competitions, he has 12 goals and four assists across all competitions.
