Liverpool are ready to battle Arsenal for Bayer Leverkusen’s highly-rated attacking right-back Jeremie Frimpong. The 22-year-old is a pivotal part of Leverkusen manager and former Liverpool icon Xabi Alonso’s set-up.

Alonso has given Frimpong the freedom to act as one of the main offensive outlets for the team. Leverkusen are currently on top of the Bundesliga table, three points ahead of second-place Bayern Munich.
