Alisson Becker’s agent Ze Maria assertively rejected any chance of the Brazilian goalkeeper leaving Liverpool next summer
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker’s agent Ze Maria rejected the idea of the Brazilian leaving the club during the summer. Currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, Alisson is one of several long-term absentees at the club.
Liverpool are facing a severe injury crisis that is threatening their season’s ambition after a strong season. Alisson is one of the key players for the Reds and also a locker-room leader since joining from AS Roma.
The Brazil international has been part of every success that Liverpool have achieved in recent years under Jurgen Klopp. His impressive qualities and achievements have earned him widespread recognition as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
Speaking to Revista Colorada (h/t Liverpool Echo), Ze Maria clarified that there is no chance Alisson will leave the club. He said:
“There’s nothing. There was no contact. At this moment, it is impossible”
Surprising rumours from Brazil linked Alisson with a shock return to his homeland and childhood club Internacional. In January, Klopp announced that he was stepping back from the managerial role at Liverpool after this season.
The announcement opened up a barrage of rumours about key personnel at the club to ignite more uncertainties. Despite his settled status at the club, Alisson has been subject to links as the latest key player potentially moving away from Liverpool.

“There is no real timescale on it, but it is proper muscle injury. It’s not a short one.

The Reds are currently at the top of the Premier League table but Arsenal and Manchester City are closely behind. In Alisson’s absence, Caoimhin Kelleher has done an impressive job as the second-choice goalkeeper for the club. Nevertheless, everyone wants Alisson to make a swift recovery and take control of the goalpost at this crucial stage.
