Gary Neville backs Manchester City to take three points during their upcoming game against Liverpool
Gary Neville believes that Manchester City will prove to be a difficult opponent for Liverpool. The two teams will be facing off this Sunday in what is a must-win game for both sides. If the Reds win they’ll be able to extend their lead on top of the Premier League table. However, if the Blues win they will claim Liverpool’s top spot for themselves.
Arsenal are also in the running and are sitting at third just two points behind the league leaders. The race for the Premier League title is an exciting one and while this game won’t decide the outcome, it is important nonetheless.
Former Manchester United skipper, Gary Neville says he wants Liverpool to win. However, he still believes that Manchester City will be the one who comes out on top. Let’s have a look at what the pundit had to say. (h/t Mirror)
“I think City will own Sunday, I don’t know why. I just think Liverpool at the moment, they’re still reeling with injuries, scrambling through games like you wouldn’t believe at the moment.”
While the team has been struggling with injuries, some of Liverpool’s best players are expected to be available on Sunday. While Alisson Becker will be missing, Caoimhin Kelleher has done a fine job in his absence.
Hopefully, the Irish goalkeeper will be able to protect the Reds against City’s relentless attack on Sunday. This will be a big game for Jurgen Klopp’s men who seem determined to give him a grand sendoff.
