Liverpool star Darwin Nunez posts a four-word message to social media after against Brighton

Darwin Nunez took to Instagram to send a message to Liverpool fans. He celebrates the victory over Brighton and the Reds now climb to the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool defeated Brighton 2-1 on Sunday, with goals from Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz. Liverpool faced the Seagulls in their first match back from the international break, ahead of what is likely to be a competitive title chase.

Manchester City and Arsenal drew 0-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The fact that Manchester City and Arsenal shared points boded well for Liverpool in the title chase. Jurgen Klopp’s side is now two points ahead of Arsenal at the top of the standings with nine games remaining.

After this positive ‘Premier League Sunday’, Nunez, who did not make any goal contributions in the match, took to social media to express his emotions. Manchester City are three points behind the Reds in third place. Neither of the title contenders is now scheduled to encounter each other this season.

The Uruguayan has been in form for the Reds this season. Bagging 17 goals and 14 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions. This includes 10 goals and eight assists in 27 appearances in the Premier League, with

Liverpool’s performance has been exceptional this season. Dominating everywhere, whether it is the Europa League or the Premier League, with Klopp’s side about to bring their second Premier League title home.

Next for Liverpool

Liverpool are currently enjoying a fantastic season. They have won their first title of the season, the Carabao Cup, defeating Chelsea 1-0. The Reds bowed out of the FA Cup after losing 4-3 in extra time against Manchester United.

However, after performing exceptionally in the Europa League, the Reds have now reached the quarterfinals to play against Atalanta. Before that, though, they have two league games coming up.
