Liverpool gets ready to cash in on superstar forward this summer

Michael Edwards is prepared to cash in on Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah this summer

Egyptian legend Mohamed Salah has been playing well as usual once again this season, contributing to 23 goals in just 35 games across all competitions for Liverpool.

The Egyptian superstar’s contract expires in 2025, and there is no word yet on the contract’s renewal. Liverpool do not have enough financial resources to compete with the Saudi club’s offer. Therefore, him leaving this summer is a possibility.

Saudi Arabian clubs are still eager to get Salah into the league, despite rejections in their attempts to acquire him last summer, and a substantial offer would be too much to pass up.

Salah’s departure would be a big issue for the Reds.

Liverpool’s decision on Salah links

According to HITC, Saudi Arabian sides are preparing to chase Mohamed Salah again this summer, with Al Ittihad being the most likely destination for the star striker.

Michael Edwards, the incoming CEO of football at Fenway Sports Group, would be open to selling Mo Salah this summer for a suitable fee, given the player’s reported desire to move to the Middle East.

Jurgen Klopp announced in January that he would be departing Anfield at the end of the season. The decision regarding Salah’s future could also be influenced by Klopp’s successor. Ruben Amorim is currently considered the leading candidate for the managerial position.

Salah has a big hand in Liverpool’s achievements

Salah has been an invaluable asset to Liverpool throughout his tenure at Anfield, and his departure would undoubtedly leave a significant void in terms of goal-scoring prowess. His arrival at the club marked a pivotal moment, propelling Liverpool to new heights domestically and in European competitions.

Edwards is prepared to approve Salah’s departure if, as anticipated, the Egyptian expresses a desire to relocate to the Middle East. Such a move would potentially see Salah become the highest-paid player globally, reflecting his exceptional talent and market value.

According to Forbes, Liverpool is preparing to make a record deal for Salah’s replacement; nevertheless, it remains to be seen how the Merseyside club can cope without one of its greatest players.
