Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho expressed his gratitude towards Hull City for his loan-spell after his failed stint with RB Leipzig. Carvalho is enjoying a productive run of form with the Tigers as they currently lie 10th in the Championship table.
The Portugal U21 joined RB Leipzig on loan during the start of the season but that stint pre-maturely ended. The 21-year-old struggled to break into the Leipzig’s squad as they restricted squad rotation to challenge for the top four. Liverpool loaned Carvalho with the promise of him getting sufficient first-team football experience during his stint.
Carvalho joined Hull during the January transfer window to gain important first team experience and prove himself to the Reds. Last season, he struggled to break into the first-team under Jurgen Klopp as the Reds struggled with consistency.
Klopp opted to loan the young Portuguese instead of restricting him to the bench as he required more senior-level experience. Players well-versed in Klopp’s philosophy and tactical requirements stack the Reds’ attacking department.
Carvalho told Hull Live that he is “thankful” to the Hull players and the coaching staff for helping him. He said:
“Yes, I’m enjoying it. I’m loving it, every day that I come in, I’m excited to train and I’m excited to learn from the players and especially the gaffer and the rest of the coaching staff who’ve helped me so much, and, yes, I’m thankful to be here. I’m thankful, thankful for them, I’m just going to keep working and see where it gets us.”
The 21-year-old has scored seven goals from 14 appearances for Hull city in the Championship this season. Despite the bleak chances of promotion this season, the Tigers fanbase praises Carvalho’s productive run of form.
Klopp has announced that he is stepping back from the managerial role after the end of this season. Carvalho
needs to continue performing consistently so that he can prove his worth to Klopp’s successor. Doing so would solidify his place in the senior team for the next season and live up to the immense potential that he possesses.Pep Guardiola pays tribute to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp after making history in Premier League…
