RMC Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri claimed that Liverpool are considering Johan Bakayoko as a transfer option for the upcoming summer
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed that PSV Eindhoven star Johan Bakayoko is one of the names that Liverpool are considering signing. Bakayoko enjoyed a fantastic season for PSV as part of their formidable team that won the Eredivisie title last season.
PSV lost just one game while scoring 111 goals in their league as Bakayoko dazzled the wings with his pace. Standing at 1.79 metres, the young Belgian is physically well-built and possesses incredible athleticism to bother any defender in duels.
The 21-year-old is a brilliant dribbler with good close control and prefers to play as a right winger for PSV. He predominantly uses his left foot but remains unpredictable, often avoiding cutting inside to get into shooting positions.
Bakayoko prefers to run down the flank too, stretching the opposition defence and delivering crosses, particularly near the six-yard box. Nevertheless, Bakayoko exploits the channels too and looks to get into the shooting positions.
The 21-year-old has made 48 appearances in all competitions for PSV this season, contributing with 14 goals and 14 assists. Bakayoko’s directness during the regular attack and when his team is counter-attacking makes him a valuable asset for PSV.
Tavolieri used his official X account to reveal that Bakayoko is one of the names that Liverpool are considering signing. He further stated that the potential transfer fee would be lower than 50 million euros, a rather bargain price. Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also monitoring the Belgium international, as he gains further popularity.

The Reds have a strong attacking department but they are lacking players capable of being a direct threat on duels. Mohamed Salah has slightly regressed in pace and moving with agility in close quarters against the opposition.
Furthermore, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez have struggled with inconsistency while Diogo Jota’s injury issues make him unreliable. The Reds need recruitment in their attack while Bakayoko makes a compelling case as an attacker who can add something to the squad.
