RB Leipzig midfielder opens up about a possible move to Liverpool
RB Leipzig midfielder, Dani Olmo has opened up about a potential move to Liverpool this summer. The 26-year-old is seen as a solid option by a lot of clubs. Olmo has garnered interest from the likes of Liverpool, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona and Man City.
Clearly, the road to signing Olmo will not be an easy one for the Reds. The 26-year-old on the other hand is not the least bit bothered about the future and has his full attention on the EUROs. Let’s have a look at what he had to say. (h/t Mundo Deportivo)
“It is clear that it is good to see your name related to great teams in Europe and the world, that motivates me, but I am focused on the Euro and I hope we can return with the trophy. Then we’ll see.”
Olmo doubled down on his statement and added that he is not bothered about the future. Whatever is supposed to be will be. From the looks of it, Olmo couldn’t care less about which shirt he wears ending up next season even if it isn’t RB Leipzig’s.
He seems positive about his chances of playing for the biggest clubs in the world and a few offers might arrive on his doorsteps this summer. Seeing how Olmo has so many clubs interested in him, he’ll likely get to pick and choose where he ends up.
Any team would be uplifted with a player of Olmo’s quality on the squad. He doesn’t possess a lot of pace, but his creativity and ability to finish make him a big threat in the final third of the pitch. Moreover, Olmo is excellent at getting into pockets of space which makes him a nuisance to deal with.
Liverpool can easily plug him into their forward line for an instant boost. Olmo would be a quality backup and would help the team have more depth in attack.
