Liverpool could miss out on Leny Yoro due to Real Madrid

According to a report by HITC (h/t Liverpool.com), Liverpool are at risk of losing their summer target Leny Yoro to Real Madrid. It seems like the 18-year-old would prefer a move to the La Liga giants over the Reds or Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown interest in the French defender, but they are the least of Liverpool’s troubles at the moment. Despite the strong interest from Madrid, the Reds are expected to keep working on a deal for Yoro.

Over the coming weeks, Liverpool are expected to try and convince Yoro to make a switch to the Premier League instead. According to the report, the Reds are fully aware of the 18-year-old’s preference for Los Blancos but are not ready to give up.

It is becoming quite clear that everyone wants to add Leny Yoro to their ranks. It isn’t every day that you see an 18-year-old defender hang with some of the best players in the world. Next to FC Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsi, Yoro is one the most promising young defenders in football.

The Reds are known for their ability to bring the best out of young players. If the Frenchman moves to Anfield, he will have more of a chance to succeed and develop. He might not get the same opportunities in Madrid due to how stacked their squad is.

While this may pain a few people, it is becoming increasingly likely that Real Madrid will beat Liverpool to yet another promising player. However, there is still the tiniest of possibilities that the Reds will be able to convince the 18-year-old to their project.
