Sport (h/t Metro) claims that Barcelona will ask Liverpool for £88.7m for French attacker Ousmane Dembele.
The report adds that the World Cup winner’s future at the Catalan giants is in doubt and Barcelona are thinking of selling the 21-year-old next season.
Dembele has had his issues with the club as the report adds that the Frenchman has turned up late for training on numerous occasions. Further, Barcelona have given him an ultimatum to shape up and improve his attitude but they are unsure the Frenchman will change.
The report adds that Barcelona initially paid £96.8m to sign the 21-year-old from Borussia Dortmund and that figure could rise to £135.5m after bonuses.
Dembele has five goals and one assist from nine starts in all competitions this season for the Catalan giants.
There is competition from Arsenal for the player, and reports suggest that Jurgen Klopp is ready to bid for the 21-year-old in the January window.
Dembele would be a great signing for the Reds and would provide a lot of competition to Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane on the wings.
The youngster was great for Dortmund before he moved to Barcelona, but the 21-year-old hasn’t been consistent for the Catalan giants.
