Transfer News: Ben Davies set for a permanent Liverpool exit

According to transfer news from Sheffield Star (h/t Liverpool Echo), Ben Davies could leave Liverpool on a permanent basis. Initially, the club wanted to let the player leave on loan. However, director Michael Edwards is now willing to allow the centre-back to leave permanently.

The report adds that the defender is interested in a move to Sheffield United. According to Sky Sports, the Blades are interested in signing the 25-year-old as well.

Sheffield United have publicly stated their interest in Ben Davies. Manager Slavisa Jokanovic was asked about the club’s interest in Davies and Ronaldo Vieira, to which he responded positively.

On top of that, Liverpool has announced the signing of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig. It would be fair to assume that getting minutes would be harder than ever for Davies.
