Real Madrid to move for Mohamed Salah if they fail to land Kylian Mbappe

According to El Nacional (h/t Mirror), Real Madrid have identified Liverpool star Mohamed Salah as an alternative should they fail to land Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

The Frenchman’s transfer saga has been long known to the football world. The French forward tried to leave last summer, but the Paris based club repeatedly rejected Los Blancos’ hefty bids.

It seems Carlo Ancelotti’s team is firm on signing Mbappe when his current contract comes to an end in the following summer. However, they are not entirely sure about the execution of the plan and have prepared a Plan’ B’. It is believed that it includes making Mohamed Salah their alternative target

The Egyptian forward currently is one of the best players in the world and is enjoying one of the most successful seasons of his career. On the field, everything looks perfect, but off the field, there are some concerns for the Reds board.

Despite closing to the end of his term at Liverpool, the 29-year-old forward is yet to pen down the renewal deal. The talks are ongoing, and they are yet to reach an agreement.

At this stage, no team would want to lose a player like Salah, even worse for free. The Egyptian forward himself has shown massive interest to continue at the club. However, as long as the forward doesn’t fully commit his future by signing a renewal, such interest from big clubs is natural.

However, it is implausible that we will see Salah in a different jersey. The Merseyside team’s board should do everything in their power to stop such a disaster.
