Liverpool will be sending scouts to watch Ghana star Mohammed Kudus at FIFA World Cup

According to Sports World Ghana (h/t Team Talk), Liverpool are interested in Ajax player Mohammed Kudus and will send scouts to watch the player when he represents his nation Ghana against Portugal at the FIFA World Cup.

Although Liverpool have stacked up in attack with the acquisitions of Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, the uncertainty over Roberto Firmino has led the club to look for potential options.

Ghana and Ajax star Kudus is one name that has come up, who has been brilliant for the Dutch side playing a more advanced role for Ajax this season.

After Antony’s departure to Manchester United, Kudus has been deployed as a more attacking outlet for the team and repaid his manager’s faith with impressive performances having scored 12 goal contributions in 20 games for Ajax.

Liverpool have been predicted to be busy in the market to bring reinforcements to an ageing squad and Kudus at 22 years of age does fit the bill of a player who can be part of the next generation of teams. Meanwhile, sites like  had given high odds and all popular outcomes for this transfer to be completed.

Ghana would be heavily reliant on Kudus for their upcoming game against Portugal and the player would definitely be thinking of staking a claim for himself in the historic tournament.

Kudus has a strong fitness record and could be a very smart solution for a midfield riddled with injuries. Moreover, with so many ageing bodies in the middle of the park, there is an urgent need for future-proofing.
