Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp sharing his interest in West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen might not help him secure the player
27-year-old Jarrod Bowen seems to be another evasive talent amongst the string of young athletes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp might miss out on in the January transfer window. The German head labelled Bowen his ‘favourite player’ apart from his team members.
Klopp had spent the entire summer revamping the Merseyside’s entire midfield to ensure his club’s success and is seemingly striving to do the same to propel to team to fight it out in the title race. In such a case, the West Ham forward would certainly be a suitable reinforcement.
As quoted by TNT Sports, West Ham’s sporting director Mark Noble responded to queries regarding Bowen’s release contract by saying:
“I am not telling you.”
It seems likely that the footballer would be retained at the London Stadium till 2030. Bowen signed a seven-year-long extension with the Hammers in October this year and hence, it might be hard for Klopp to persuade his current club to sell.
Jarrod Bowen most likely to continue at West Ham
Bowen has proven to be one of West Ham’s prominent players this season. He seemed to have been underestimated by every other Premier League team other than West Ham up until recently with the bigger clubs showing their interest.
On the other hand, there’s a chance that the forward’s potential could be incorrectly assessed. His performance in West Ham is not only based on his individuality but the team’s system and style of play and the players he plays alongside.

It could be hard to judge Bowen’s true prowess on the field when he is not matched by players of his calibre. While it seems unlikely that he would leave David Moyes’ side anytime soon, there’s a chance that Bowen’s performance could be enhanced when placed with the elite roster at the Anfield side. Let’s wait and see if it ever happens.
