Liverpool First Team Star Waxed lyrical About Klopp But Has A Small Complaint

James Milner has been playing as a left-back this season and has done really well for the Reds. Milner scored his fourth goal of the campaign in the defeat of Swansea. The 30-year-old speaking to the Telegraph was full on praise about the Liverpool manager but went on to say that he gets “too emotional” sometimes.

“I’ve probably had too many managers but every manager is different.

“They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. He [Klopp] is a top manager and he’s definitely one of the best that I have worked with. His organisation sessions are different to anything else that I have ever experienced.

“His passion can only be a good thing. Sometimes, when he is bouncing on the touchline with enthusiasm, the only thing you could say is that he is maybe too emotional.”

The emotional side of Klopp can often be seen on the pitch as he celebrates the goals scored by the team. But the German was far from pleased with their win at the weekend. Klopp did say he was angry with the side and expected a better performance, especially in the first half.

The Reds struggled to break down the Swans and could have ended up being two or three goals down at half-time.

A second half fightback from Liverpool

The Reds did fight back in the second half and were wonderful to watch. They dominated Swansea and got their reward when Roberto Firmino nodded in a Jordan Henderson cross. The Brazilian was lively throughout and won Liverpool a penalty which Milner converted.

The former Manchester City star also confirmed that Klopp was extremely upset on the side.

“We knew he was angry, you could tell, but he still put his words across well. It’s easy to fly off the handle and not be very productive.

“We know how emotional he is but he did a great job. He said the right things and we came out and performed how we should. He deserves a lot of credit. He is a top manager. He has proved that before and hopefully we can be very successful with him.

“There’s a long way to go and it’s early stages. We’re pleased with the win and we know we can beat anyone on our day. We have got to keep that going.”

Liverpool continued their fine run and picked up their fourth win in a row. Jurgen Klopp did ring in the changes at half-time and it worked for the Merseysiders. The big test will come after the international break as the Reds take on Manchester United at Anfield.

The Reds are just a couple of points behind Manchester City and if they pick up a win against the Red Devils, they could end up topping the table.
