Jurgen Klopp certainly seems to have had enough of the rumours suggesting that Philippe Coutinho and Nathaniel Clyne are targets for some of the big clubs in Spain. In recent weeks, Coutinho has been subject to a move to Barcelona and there have been reports that the 24-year-old Brazilian tried to make a move to the Catalan giants in the summer.

Nathaniel Clyne has become the latest Liverpool player who is a target for Barcelona as the Englishman is seen as the perfect replacement for Dani Alves. The Brazilian moved to Juventus at the start of the season and the La Liga side are yet to find a player who can provide the defensive and attacking stability that the club wants.

Klopp was speaking to reporters and when asked about the future of the duo at the club, the German had this to say:

“What can I say? It’s better that they talk about Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“How many matches have we played? Nine, ten? F**king hell, ten matches and we talk about all this stuff.

“Do they want to get them in winter or the next window?

“Do they think they can buy Clyney in winter? Come on. It’s nice but not important.”

Should they stay or should they go?

This seems to be the perfect reply by the German as he has called out the Spanish press. The duo has been two of the best players for the club this season and could feature in the first team for the Blaugrana.

Clyne would certainly feature as the right-back but the only problem would be his attacking ability. The Englishman isn’t in the same vein as Dani Alves, though he is a sounder defender. Coutinho, on the other hand, would face a tough task to break the MSN trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar.

The Brazilian could get a chance to play in midfield but the 24-year-old has performed extremely well in the final third for Liverpool as he plays with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in attack.

Klopp was logical in his reply, though he could have done without the cussing. The German knows that clubs will want to sign Liverpool’s players, especially when they are the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona come calling but he will have to keep hold of his first-choice stars.

The Reds are tied at the top of the Premier League table with Manchester City and Arsenal and that has been achieved partly through Coutinho’s magic, who has scored four goals this season and provided four assists for the Premier League side.

If Liverpool are to make it to the top four or even achieve success with regard to winning a trophy, they have to keep hold of Coutinho. He is vital to their plans and cannot be sold for any price, whatsoever.
