Speed Merchant From Bundesliga Talks About Liverpool Rumours

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is having another great season at Borussia Dortmund and the Gabon striker has often been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side, especially after his heroics in front of goal last season.

The 27-year-old had scored 39 goals in all competitions last season and this time around he has 20 goals from just 22 games. Aubameyang is believed to be one of the best strikers in the world and when he was asked about a chance to link up with Jurgen Klopp and move to Liverpool, the striker said:

“I don’t think that’ll happen” said the striker.

The striker had stated once that he would play for Real Madrid and had even promised his grandfather he would be playing for Los Galacticos.

It isn’t just Real Madrid who have been linked with a move for Aubameyang but Manchester United and Arsenal also have been tracking the red-hot striker. Aubameyang didn’t state that he wants to move but did add that a deal could be struck in the summer as football is full of uncertainties.

“Nobody can foresee the future,” the 27-year-old told German newspaper Fussball Bild. “I love it at Dortmund, but I can’t say that I’ll stay for two more years, or five or 10

“It’s possible that a club could reach an agreement with Dortmund in June and I’ll go.

“I want to be honest. When you are ambitious and also want to see something else… it’s difficult to talk about.

“Some players have ambitions, and therefore they leave and want to experience something new, you know.”

The Dortmund striker might be looking at a move to other clubs outside Germany but he did add that he would never sign for one club in particular.

“But I’ll never go to Bavaria [Bayern Munich], that’s for sure. That would be too hard for the Dortmund fans.”

Still hope for Liverpool

This might still be good news for Liverpool as they look to bring in a quality attacker for next season. Aubameyang is someone who does work his socks off and would fit in perfectly with the style Liverpool play on the pitch.

This would also mean the end of Daniel Sturridge at the club and with his injury record, a swap between Aubameyang and Sturridge would certainly leave the Liverpool contingent happier than the Dortmund one.

Even though Aubameyang stated that he isn’t moving to the Reds in the summer, a cheeky bid with Sturridge thrown in might tempt the Bundesliga side to cash in while they can.
