Obiang has been mighty impressive for The Hammers this season and has shone in the heart of West Ham’s midfield. His eye-catching performances over the past few weeks where West Ham have steadily climbed out of relegation zone have not gone unnoticed.

Jurgen Klopp has had Obiang watched and seems to have been happy with the reports given by his scouts. The 24-year old moved to West Ham at the start of last season and has a contract running until 2019. However, with two years left on his contract, it is believed that £18m

would be enough to close down the deal. West Ham, on the other hand, are trying to ward off any interest for their star man, by offering him a new contract to sign.
