Liverpool Fans Back Klopp To Sign £20 million English International And Former Man Utd Graduate

Michael Keane has been one of the unheralded stars of the Premier League this season. The 24-year-old has been a rock at the back for Burnley, as the newly promoted side are more or less guaranteed safety from relegation. And the Englishman even made his debut for the national side in the 1-0 loss against Germany.

Keane has played 29 games in the league this season and his performances have caught the eye of many top clubs. Liverpool are one of the clubs looking to add quality to their defence and it has been rumoured that Jurgen Klopp would be willing to make a bid

for the Englishman in the summer.

In a recent poll conducted by the Football Fancast, a whopping 75% of respondents to the poll stated that the player would not struggle to play for the Merseyside club, despite it being a leap considering the style of play and stature of his current club, Burnley.

The former United academy graduate could be bought by a number of clubs for a paltry sum of £20 million, according to reports, however, a bidding war cannot be ruled out as the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal might and even Manchester United look to add quality to their defence.

Liverpool’s woes in the heart of their defence is known to all and with Mamadou Sakho all set to leave the club and even the likes of Ragnar Klavan and Lucas Leiva not sure of their place in the team, it would be wise to bring in a young player that has done well in the league.

Keane knows the competition well and has proven that he can perform against some of the bigger clubs as well. It would be interesting to see how he would adjust with a lot more attention while playing for the Reds and if he can usurp the first-team pairing of Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren.

The duo haven’t been able to play many games together due to injuries but next season the Reds would need most of their players in peak fitness as European competition could be calling for Klopp and his boys.
