‘Spend the whole 200 mil for Dybala’ – Liverpool Fans Urge Klopp To Complete The Signing Of ‘Next Lionel Messi’

Liverpool have been able to sign some quality players like Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino in the last few years. Yet, they have not been able to bring in a marquee player. In fact, the club only lost the star players like Luis Suarez, but haven’t been able to fill the void left by the Uruguayan.

Liverpool fans have been wishing for one such player to make his presence felt at Anfield. The midweek Champions League quarter-final games provided the opportunity for Liverpool fans to make a wish – sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

Regarded as one of the best young players in Italian football at the moment, Paulo Dybala has also been dubbed as the ‘next Lionel Messi.’ He certainly lived up to the billing in the match against Barcelona of all teams. Juventus produced a stunning 3-0 win over the Catalan club to place one feet in the semi-finals of the competition.

The 23-year-old scored two goals in this victory, and he was also named as the man of the match. Juventus were so convinced in the talents of the youngster that they paid an astronomical €32 million to Palermo for the player’s signature in the summer of 2015. Less than two years later, he is starting to repay the faith.

And the Reds’ supporters took to Twitter to urge the club to sign the Argentine international in the summer. Here are some of the gems from the Liverpool Twitterati:

Dybala has been a strong presence for Juventus in all games this season. He has managed to score 16 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions. There have also been eight assists along the way. These promising performances have led to Liverpool fans yearning for the arrival of the 23-year-old at Anfield.

It will be a highly improbable transfer at the moment largely because Juventus have managed to agree a new contract with Dybala. The Argentina forward has managed to extend his contract until the summer of 2022. Furthermore, it would take a lot of money to convince Juventus to sell him.

For the moment, the club will have to settle with the likes of Coutinho and Firmino, although it is not a bad option to have by any stretch of the imagination. Firmino has scored 11 goals and had 10 assists in just 36 games across all competitions. Coutinho has also been equally brilliant by scoring 10 goals and assisting eight in 30 appearances in all competitions. Both these players will have a crucial role to play in the business end of the season, as star attacker Sadio Mane has been ruled out for the next two months due to a surgery.
