Renowned Journalist – Liverpool Close In On First Major Summer Signing For £35m

Our chase for the signing of Mohamed Salah seems to have come to an end but there is good news to have come out. Calcio Mercato

claim that a tweet from BEIN Sport says the Egyptian has agreed to a deal to move to Anfield in the summer.

One of the presenters from the sport channel, Mohammad Saadon Alkuwari, stated that Salah has reached an agreement with us for a £90,000-a-week contract and the fee for the winger would be around the £35 million mark.

While this might seem like another run-of-the-mill rumour, the report also claims that Alkuwari is a close friend of the former Chelsea player and the tweet basically said: “Mohamed Salah, can we say congratulations? #EPL”.

The BEIN sport presenter isn’t the only one who tweeted about the news as the Mirror’s John Cross also added that there has been an agreement between the clubs on the price for Salah.

Finally, a deal closes

While Manchester City has been on a rampage bringing in players for high values, we have been locked in negotiations over Salah for a week or so. The Egyptian did have another great season with Roma as the side finished second in Serie A and Salah scored 15 times and chipped in with 11 assists.

Klopp had even spoken personally with the player regarding a move to Anfield and this will finally close the deal on a player we should have signed back in 2014 but Chelsea stole him away at the last moment.

Looking at the details of the deal, £35 million doesn’t look too shabby for a player that has been amongst the goals and if he can turn into another Kevin de Bruyne and learn from his first spell in the league, we would have done great business.

With Sadio Mane on one side and Salah on the other, we would have two of the quickest wingers in the world on our side. And that would mean a lot more counter-attacking goals next season.
