Things seem to be getting on track for our Virgil van Dijk raid. We have been linked with a move for the Southampton player and while there have been numerous clubs looking to add the Dutch defender to their side, Van Dijk has now revealed he wants to play for us next season.

The fee to sign Van Dijk would certainly become our record transfer fee for a Liverpool player, which is touted to be over £50 million. And it is also being rumoured that the wage for Van Dijk would be the highest in the history of the club.

This situation has risen due to the interest from Manchester City and Chelsea but Van Dijk has made his mind up and Anfield will be his home next season.
